Who we are

Our website address is: http://www.madcowinternet.co.uk. We are Madcowinternet Ltd and you can see our current contact information on our Contact Us page.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Comments

We don’t normally allow comments on our pages, because we find that the spambots are more interested in conversation than real people, and you really don’t need to be reading about blue pills, appendage enlargement, and links to dodgy websites.

If we do allow visitors to leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Contact forms

If you use our contact form we will use any information you send us to respond to you. This will typically involve an email conversation and we will retain any information for as long as is commercially necessary.

Cookies

We use cookies that are essential to the functioning of our website and for tracking usage.

Analytics

We’re not heavily into analytics. If you visit our site that’s great, but it’s not how we measure our success and therefore not something that we look at frequently.

Who we share your data with

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. We do not share data with third parties, except if required by law or to provide a service you have requested from us.

Your data concerns

If you have any concerns about data we might hold about you, please contact us using our contact form.
